Recorded by J. Robbins at Inner Ear Studio, History
is Easy is the final Dwindle recording.
While Dwindle releases did not sell in the millions
or make the pages of Rolling Stone, the pockets of
fans from all over the world who discovered the band
would prove to be loyal throughout the years.
Although this release was recorded well over a few
years ago the musical relevance has been retained.
Brooce has been recording some of the top bands
in the twin cities including Volane, Signal to Trust,
The Vets, Malachi Constant, Eufio and Sicbay.
Jeff curently lives in New York City and has been
drumming for Aden.
John is currently in grad school

In theory this EP was supposed to come
out in early 2001. But as often the case in Indie Rock,
greater forces prevailed. The concept was that an EP
would serve as way to calm down dwindles small,
but loyal fan base until a proper follow up to the critically
acclaimed 1999 Guilt Ridden Pop release Days Away could
be recorded and released. Expectance Acceptance was
recorded in the depths of Minneapolis and then mixed
and transformed by J. Robbins at Inner Ear in Washington
DC. Dwindle has since recorded a full length CD with
J. Robbins which is scheduled to be mixed in spring
of 2002. A release date for the album will be announced
in the near future.
Two long years have passed
since the release of dwindle's last full length record
"recently okay." the anticipation among their
small but loyal following had just about reached its
peak when in october, dwindle travelled to washington
d.c's legendary inner ear studios to record their long
awaited follow up. dwindle spent one week with jawbox
almunus j. robbins (jets to brazil, the promise ring,
dismemberment plan, kerosene 454, compound red) and
came home with their new record "days away."
the new album features a more subtle and developed (dare
we say "produced?") style than on previous
releases. "days away" continues the dwindle
tradition of melodic guitar playing, propulsive drumming,
dynamic rhythms and low key vocals. gimmee indie rock!
In the long years between
then and now, dwindle played scattered shows throughout
the U.S. and recorded a full-length CD with very nice,
also very cool guy Jon Goodmanson, in Seattle, Washington.
They titled their second CD Recently Okay, it was eight
songs deep, but over 50 minutes long.
Like many people you know,
Brooce, Jon and Jeff are in a band. Their band is called
dwindle because they wanted a band name with one word,
but two syllables. The boys in dwindle began playing
music together in the summer of '93. At that time, the
band included the additional guitar-playing talents
of Greg.
In the summer of 94' the
dwindle boys left their comfy homes in St. Paul, Minnesota
to record five songs with Tim Green at his basement
studio in Olympia, Washington. Upon returning to Minnesota,
dwindle put out a single featuring two songs from the
Tim Green session. Shortly after the release of the
single, Greg left the band to pursue an even more low
profile existence. Shortly after that, dwindle joined
up with the brand new label Guilt Ridden Pop and their
first CD/EP, Present General Conditions, came into existence.
All five songs recorded during their three days in Olympia
were included on the EP.
